Mr. Joe Cooper, age 77, Telford, passed away Sunday, December 13, 2015 at his residence.
Mr. Cooper was born in Washington County and son of the late Dave & Sarah Partin Cooper. He was also preceded in death by three sons, Randy Cooper, Robert Cooper and Ronnie Cooper, two sisters, Zella Cloyd and Cordelia Cooper and three brothers, O.B. Cooper, Dillard Cooper and Grady Cooper.
He was a member of New Victory Baptist Church.
Mr. Cooper, the ice cream man, owned and drove an ice cream truck for Daisy Ice Cream and spread joy and happiness to children for over 50 years.
Survivors include his wife, Carmen Ann Seghetti Cooper, Telford; five children, Christina Cooper, Limestone, Joseph Cooper, Erwin, John Cooper, Telford, Joe Cooper, Rogersville and Sarah McCourry, Telford; grandchildren, Jessica Elkins, Miranda Cooper, Harley Cooper, Caitlynne Cooper, Elijah McCourry, Aiden McCourry, Ezekiel Cooper, Emma Cooper and Nikolai Cooper; two brothers, Lee Cooper (Caralea) and Ralph Cooper (Carolyn); sisters, Victoria McInturff, Amanda Wilholt and Lora Garvin; and several nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 pm Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at the Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Lester Morelock and Bro. Parker Street officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm Tuesday prior to the service and other times at the home of his sister, 244 Roy Green Rd. Telford.
Interment services will be conducted 1:00 pm Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at New Victory Methodist Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be John Cooper, Joe Cooper, Joey Cooper, Mike Wilholt, Zeke Cooper, Kenny Garvin, and Ralph Cooper, Jr.

I was so sad to hear about Uncle Joe...we visited him last year and it was so good to see him. He was good to us and to Mom and Daddy (Grace and Gary) when we lived there. The family are all in my prayers. ..it's hard to lose someone like Joe. He will be missed...love to all.
