Mr. Robert Tye Buxton, age 73, Jonesborough, passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at his residence.
Mr. Buxton was born in Chicago, Illinois and son of the late Robert Edward & Virginia Hillway Buxton. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Susie Higgins Buxton.
He was a coin dealer and member of the American Numismatic Association for 50 years.
Survivors include two daughters, Elizabeth Buxton Jennings, (Carter) Bartlett, TN and Rebecca Victoria Buxton Zellner (Don) Denver, CO; brothers, Brian William Buxton (Lisa), Marietta, GA and Timothy Montrose Buxton (Katie Stuart), Shelburne, NH; grandchildren, Grace Jennings, Kaitlyn Jennings, Eric Jennings, Addison Tye Jennings and Eden Zellner; and several nephews and nieces.
Inurnment services will be conducted 2:00 pm Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Riverside Cemetery in Woodbury, Tennessee. Flowers may be sent to Woodbury Funeral Home 504 W. Main St. Woodbury, TN 37190.
