Mrs. Mildred Lewis Mauk, age 85, Jonesborough, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at the Four Oaks Healthcare Center.
Mrs. Mauk was born in Washington County, VA and daughter of the late Earl & Ruth Pennington Lewis. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Evert Mauk, two sons, James Mauk and Ralph Mauk, brothers, Marion Lewis and Spencer Lewis.
She was a member of Cherokee Baptist Church.
Mrs. Mauk was a homemaker. She attended the Jonesborough Senior Citizens for several years.
Survivors include her children, Judy Sweeney (Garry), Bluff City, Johnny Mauk (Donna) Jonesborough and George Mauk; brothers, Howard Lewis, Bruce Lewis and Charles Lewis; sister, Anna Lewis; grandchildren, Phil Mauk, Jason Mauk, Dorothy Jones, James Mauk, Robb Mauk; and six great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm Saturday October 31, 2015 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at Salem Cemetery with Rev Lenny Smith officiating.
Pallbearers will be Phil Mauk, Jason Mauk, Dustin Baxley, and Scott Whaley.
