Dad, It’s been over 8 years since you got called home. It’s taken me this long to just begin to accept your gone. We miss you so much Dad. I’d give anything to hear you call me Pooh one more time, and play with my ear like you always did. There’s so much I want to tell you. You have two grandkids now. Josie was your first grandchild. She is a spitfire and named after you. Porter has so much personality. I’d love to know what nicknames you’d give them. And what you’d teach them. Sis and Stacey are the best parents. Sis is so much like you. She’s stubborn as hell, and works harder than anyone I know. She has made an amazing life for herself you would be so proud of her. Hammer bought Wanda and Gary’s house and lives in deacons creek now. He’s grown into an amazing man. He married Heather and takes great care of his little family. He has an amazing Job at NFS! You would be beaming with pride. He looks so much like you it’s crazy. Coty has 2 little girls now. He’s got his life together and is doing great things. He’s renting a place to stay and has a great job. He’s really turned his life around and you’d be proud. Mom misses you so much. I try so hard to be strong for her. She’s doing as well as can be expected. You are her soulmate and that’s a once in a lifetime kind of thing. I have finally got my life together too. I got a degree in culinary arts and I’m a cake decorator now. I have a really good job that pays well and I love what I do. I have a brand spanking new car and a home to be proud of. I live in a ranch stile home out in the countryside of Fall Branch. You would love it here. I found a man that pushes me to succeed and makes me want to be a better person. I have your Bible on my night stand and I try to read it as much as I can. I also have the shotgun you gave me hanging on a gun rack right next to where I sleep. It’s by far my most prized possession. I’ve worked so hard to do better everyday till I was satisfied with my life. I’m actually happy now. I hope that I have kids one day so I can teach them all the wisdom you bestowed into me. We all keep your memory alive. Josie and Porter may have never got to meet you, but we make sure to talk about how amazing their Paw-Paw was. You live on every day through our memories and stories we tell them. I miss you so much Dad. I love you more than anything. You will be the first one I look for when it’s my time and I walk through those pearly gates. What an amazing day that will be. Joe and I worked together, and hunted mushrooms,and went camping down on the river together -( the last few yrs). I met you and your family ,while camping....I considered him a true friend. I will miss him. My prayers go out to you and your family...... May God be with you in your time of need.

I have know the Rogers ever since I was 10 years old.I spends many night with Wanda, Alice Margert, & Carolyn. I think Joe may have been a Baby then. But I have seen him coming Home from work .I have never heard any thing bad about him. I grew up with the Rogers girls .Joe always have a smile on his face. And was a very likeable person .He will be missed by many
