Mrs. Anna Murr Reed Hughes, age 84, Jonesborough, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 20, 2015 at her residence.
Mrs. Hughes was born in Washington County and daughter of the late Marion and Laura Morrell Murr White. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Bill Hughes and Dana Reed, son, Steven, and grandson, Jason Coffie.
She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and sang in the choir. She loved helping out when needed.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Gary & Jacqueline Reed, Chuckey; daughters and sons-in-laws, Sheila & Donnie Hubbard, Janice & Daniel Byrd and Pam Reed & Tom Ditto, all of Jonesborough and Donna Reed, Telford; sister, Elizabeth Tarlton, Greeneville; eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and one great great-grandchild; several nephews, nieces and special friend, Jess.
The family will receive friends at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church from 1:00-3:00 pm Wednesday, September 23, 2015. Interment services will follow at Fairview Cemetery with Rev. Brian Nulf officiating.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
In lieu of flowers, family request donations be made to Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home P.O. Box 98 Jonesborough, TN 37659 for final expenses.
