Mr. Robert E Treadway, Jonesborough, age 78, passed away Thursday September 17, 2015 at Four Oaks Health Care.
Mr. Treadway was a native of Washington County and the son of the late Bernie and Flora Barnes Treadway. In addition to his parent’s, he was preceded in death by his first wife Ruthie Ellen Shelton Treadway, brothers Herbert Treadway and Franklin Treadway.
Mr. Treadway retired from the Washington County School System having worked in the maintenance Department.
He was a Member of Morning Star Baptist Church and former member of Wayland Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife Iris Treadway, four sons, Ralph Treadway (Linda), Brian Treadway, Gary Treadway, and Russell Treadway (Cheryl) grandchildren Randall Treadway, Sarah Treadway, Amanda Berrey (Brandon), Andrew Treadway (Krista), Jennifer Treadway; great-grandchildren, Landon, Cooper, Adam, Emma, Katie Jo, Nicholas, Breanna, Addison, and Madeline; sisters, Francis Deakins, Ruth Shelton (Jerry David), and Irene Shelton (Bill).
Funeral Services for Mr. Treadway will be Monday September 21, 2015 8:00PM at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Charlie Miller officiating. The family will receive family and friends from 6:00-8:00PM prior to the service.
Graveside will be Tuesday September 22, 2015 11:00AM at Morning Star Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
