Mrs. Evelyn Cole Merriman, age 70, Jonesborough, passed away Tuesday September 15, 2015 at the Johnson City Medical Center.
Mrs. Merriman was a native of Washington County and the daughter of the late Melvin and Jeanette Long Cole. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Kenny Cole, Clarence Cole, Leroy Cole, and Tommy Cole.
Mrs. Merriman was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, her flowers and spending time with her family.
She was of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include her daughter Margaret Mullins; brothers, Roger Cole and wife Lucy, David Cole, Harry Cole and wife Lola, Larry Cole and wife Delores, Fred Cole and wife Mary, and Earnest Cole and wife Mary Lou; sisters, Christine Graybeal and husband Frank, and Shirley Hazelwood; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be Sunday September 20, 2015 3:30PM at Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive family and friends from 1:00-3:00PM prior to the graveside at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home.
