Mrs. Dollie Crain, age 87, Jonesborough, passed away Thursday, July 2, 2015 at the Lakebridge Healthcare Center.
Mrs. Crain was born in Unicoi County and daughter of the late Silas & Martha Blankenship Hensley. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Joe G. Crain, three children, Linda Gale Crain, Martha Lee Crain and Billy Joe Crain, one sister, Nola Briggs, and two brothers, Mafrey Rice and Don Hensley.
She was a member of Westside Christian Church.
Mrs. Crain was a homemaker and enjoyed canning, gardening and sewing.
Survivors include two sons, Ronald Crain and wife Nancy, Jimmy Crain and wife, Jonell; five grandchildren, Adam Crain (Sonya), Laura Whitaker (Chris), Brenda Moody (Todd), Jessica Miller (Brian), and Jeremy Crain; eleven great-grandchildren, Katie Whitaker, Sarah Whitaker, Olivia Whitaker, Wesley Moody, Phillip Moody, Valerie Moody, Joseph Moody, Chris Moody, Logan Miller, Nolan Miller, and Landon Miller; sister, Hazel Shelton, Flag Pond; and three brothers, Barnett Hensley, Flag Pond, Russell Hensley, North Carolina and Rex Hensley; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted 4:00 PM Sunday, July 5, 2015 at the Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Minister John Wade officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 PM Sunday prior to the service.
Interment services will be conducted 10:00 AM Monday, July 6, 2015 at Highland Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be family & friends.
