Mrs. Eula Mae Payne McBride, age 83, Limestone, passed away Friday, May 15, 2015 at her residence.
Mrs. McBride was born in Union County and was the daughter of the late William Dewey & Emma Jane Calloway White. In addition to her parents Mrs. McBride was also preceded in death by her first husband, Ray H. Payne; three brothers, Chester, Roma, and Lawrence White and one sister, Ruth Broyles.
She was a member of Telford Missionary Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school and Vacation Bible School and was a former treasurer for many years.
Mrs. McBride was a graduate of Washington College Academy and worked for Washington County as a Bookkeeper and for the Washington County Food Service. She also worked for the county election office committee for many years.
She loved to travel, crochet, play Shanghi and work puzzles but most of all, loved spending time with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. McBride was the first female member of the Washington College Ruritan.
Survivors include her husband, Roby McBride, Limestone; two daughters, Janette Payne, Limestone and Debbie Payne Morrison and spouse, Stephen, Johnson City; two sons, Jerry K. Payne and spouse Connie, Telford and Johnny Payne and spouse Debbie, Jonesborough; step-daughters, Sharon Thomas and spouse Roger, Telford, Teresa Lyle, Limestone and Karen Yates, Kingsport; step-sons, Roger McBride and spouse Pam Limestone, Ricky McBride, Johnson City, Mark McBride and spouse Karen, Vale, NC and Bobby McBride, Kingsport; eleven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; two brothers, Elmer White and J.C. White; one sister, Vada Broyles; and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to her caregivers Debbie Payne, Bri Baker, Becca Ormsbee, Nicki Roberts and Angela Denton for their outstanding loving care. They also want to recognize Mountain States Hospice for their services.
Funeral services will be conducted 5:00 pm Sunday, May 17, 2015 at the Telford Missionary Baptist Church, 1598 Old State Rt. 34, Telford, with Rev. Jimmie Rogers and Dr. Harold “Buddy” Jones officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 2:00-5:00 pm Sunday prior to the service.
Interment services will be 10:00 am Monday, May 18, 2015 at New Salem Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be sons and step-sons; Jerry Payne, Johnny Payne, Keith Payne, Roger McBride, Rick McBride, Mark McBride and Bobby McBride.

Many prayers for the family of Eula Mae. Sorry we couldn't attend the funeral but please know our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Faye broke her foot on Saturday and I'm staying with her to help her out.
Eula Mae was always a supporter of Washington College Academy. She and Roby were always attending the activities and participating
by giving a hand when needed. The WCA Alumni
will certainly miss Eula Mae. Our prayers and thought go out to the family. God blesses such a good family.
