Anna Lee Torbett McCracken, 90, of Gray, TN, passed away on May 11th, 2015, at NHC in John¬son City, TN. Born August 24th, 1924, in Piney Flats, TN, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Martin McCracken; her par¬ents, Lela and George Torbett; and brothers, Lowell and Raymond Torbett. Known for her compassion and tender spirit, Anna loved her family and her church family at Boone Trail Baptist Church, where she was a charter mem¬ber.
Sur¬vi¬vors in¬clude her son and daughter-in law, Larry and Carolyn McCracken of Gray; grandson and wife, John and Andrea McCracken, of Knoxville, TN; granddaughter and husband, Malinda and Dan Sanders of Gray; sis¬ter and brother-in law, Zura and Jerry Hayenga of Annapolis, MD; brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Dorothy Torbett of Knoxville; three great-grandchildren, Marcus McCracken, Paige Sanders and Will Sanders; special friend, Jeri Ferguson; and several nieces and nephews.
Vis¬i¬ta¬tion will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 15th, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home, Jonesborough, TN, with a memorial service to fol¬low at 2:00 p.m. The burial will take place after the memorial at New Bethel Presbyterian Church Ceme¬tery, Piney Flats, TN. Dr. Wayne Bledsoe will officiate at the services. Active pallbearers will be Don Dwyer, Harry Ford, John McCracken, Dan Sanders, Mike Sanders, and Ted Walters. Honorary pallbearers will be Marcus McCracken, Paige Sanders, and Will Sanders.

Fond memories of Anna Lee as school secretary.
She was always such a sweet and kind lady.
Larry, I know you will probably remember me and "Jake". I was saddened to hear about Anna Lee's death but know that she is in a much better place now. Jake and I were very close friends of Anna Lee and Martin and had some wonderful times with them. We loved them very much. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
