Mrs. Jennie Lee Bennett Reaves, age 83, Jonesborough, went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, April 27, 2015 at the Johnson City Medical Center following a brief illness.
Mrs. Reaves was born in Washington County and daughter of the late William E. “Bill” & Bessie Lee Campbell Bennett. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Dorothy (Dot) Tipton, Louise Breeden and Mary Helen (Mud) Dillon, and two brothers, Wilburn Bennett and Jerry Bennett.
She was a 1949 graduate of Jonesboro High School.
Mrs. Reaves was of the Christian faith.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Don Reaves, of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Darla & Eddie Valentine and Diane & Jean-Claude Seruga; son, David & Tina Reaves; two granddaughters, Ashlea and Emily Reaves; four sisters, Norma Jean Vines, Charlotte Hale, Lena Bogart, and Brenda Campbell (Harold); one brother, Keith Bennett (Judy);one aunt, Beatrice Paris; and several nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be conducted 8:00 pm Thursday, April 30, 2015 at the Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. James Roberts officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Thursday prior to the service and other times at the home of David Reaves.
Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 am Friday, May 1, 2015 at Eden-Greenwood Cemetery, 1620 Mill Springs Rd. Jonesborough.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Breeden, Randy Breeden, Billy Bennett, Jeff Coggins, Will Stallard, Jim Adams, Chad Bennett, Roger Price, Timmy Bogart and Scottie Breeden.
