Mr. Marvin Wayne Laws, age 62, Chuckey, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2015 at his residence.
Mr. Laws was born in Washington County and son of the late Lee & Lula Mae Edwards Laws. He was also preceded in death by two sisters and one brother, Bettie Louise Milhorn, Donald Gene Laws and Sandra Miller.
He retired from Greene County Express Trucking.
Survivors include a daughter, Joy Laws, Jonesborough; grandchildren, Daniel Paul and Lauryn Beth Paul both of Jonesborough; two brothers and two sisters, Virginia Hinkle, Limestone, Bobby Laws, Henry Laws both of Chuckey and Linda Gayle Watts, Jonesborough; and several nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 PM Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at the Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Shawn Broyles and Mrs. Teresa Broyles officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM Wednesday prior to the service.
Interment services will be conducted 11:00 AM Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Morning Star Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Paul, Henry Laws, Bobby Laws, Jeff Milhorn, Dallas Penley, Curtis Laws, J.D. Randolph and Jim Malone.

We knew Marvin, "Cisco" when we all drove for
Crete Carriers. He is one of the biggest hearted
people we have ever known. He will be missed.

marvin was one of the best people i have met in my life i loved him and i know he loved me we over the years shared alot of stories and moments i took him to his first haunted maze he was funny and respectful to all the years that i knew him i didnt realize how sick he was wish i could have been there for him didnt get to see him alot the past few years i know many people cared about him i will miss passing him on the road and his great smile and wave i will miss my friend
