Mr. Daniel Dalton Bacon, Sr., age 71, Limestone, passed away Saturday, March 21, 2015 at the Holston Valley Medical Center.
Mr. Bacon was born in Rincon, Georgia and son of the late Colon & Martha Blocker Bacon. He was also preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
He attended Boone Trail Baptist Church.
Mr. Bacon served in the 118 Artillery Div. National Guard, and served in the food industry for over 40 years before retiring to Limestone.
Survivors include his wife, Agnes Nipper Bacon, Limestone; daughter and son-in-law, Leslie & Mark Couch, Jonesborough; two sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel Dalton “Dan”, Jr. & Mary Liza Bacon, Greenville, NC and Colon Devon “Dee” & Kathy Bacon, Limestone; grandchildren, Daniel Stephen Bacon, Sarah Elizabeth Bacon, Peyton Lee Ann Bacon, Kali Danielle Bacon, Bailey Allen Couch and Braydon Lee Couch; one sister, Mary Frances White; and several nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 AM Thursday, March 26, 2015 at the Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Bledsoe officiating, Interment services will follow in the Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM Wednesday, March 25, 2015.
Pallbearers will be family & friends.
