Jayson Lee Davis, age 75, of Jonesborough, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at his residence.
Mr. Davis was born in North Spring, West Virginia, son of the late Lee & Callie Lambert Davis. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, George Davis and Blaine Davis, four sisters, Edith Riffe, Nellie Steiner, Elva Lyall, and Annie Davis, and one daughter, Theresa Honaker.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Jonesborough.
A retired barber, he was an avid gardener and loved to hunt.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Davis, Jonesborough; four daughters and sons-in-law, Jody Rice (Michael), Limestone, Jennifer Davis, Jonesborough, Elizabeth Philyaw (Reggie), Beckley, WV and Tressia Boyd (Jerald) Cedar Bluff, VA; two sons and daughters-in-law, Shawn Davis (Denise), West Union, WV and Barry Davis (Sherry), Clear Fork, WV; grandchildren, Michael Rice Jr., Callie Rice, Emma Rice, Eli Rice, Isaac Rice, Caitlin Philyaw, Bethany Philyaw, Mckinsey Davis, Anna Davis, Corey Davis, Casey Davis, Chloe Davis and Emily Honaker; one great grandchild, Bentley Horton; two sisters, June Runyon, Ballard, WV and Verla Allen, Clearwater, FL; and many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends at the First Baptist Church of Jonesborough from 6:00-8:00 PM Friday, March 20, 2015, with a private family viewing from 5:00-6:00 pm.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Saturday, March 21, 2015, at the First Baptist Church of Jonesborough with Dr. James Harrison officiating. Interment will follow at Washington County Memory Gardens.
