Mr. Harold P. Keen, 95, Elizabethton, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2015 at his son’s residence.
He was born in Hopkins, Missouri the son of the late Grover Cleveland and Tina Patrick Keen. He was also preceded in death by his wife Dorothy, one son Harold Keen Jr. and three brothers Grover, Raymond, and Bill Keen.
Mr. Keen retired from Mayes Brothers Tool Company. He attended Gray United Methodist Church and was a former member of Fairhaven Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Jack Keene and wife Sandy, Elizabethton, Sam Keen and wife Judy, Athens, one daughter Linda Greene, Jonesborough; grandchildren Alice Yarborough, Kari Bookout, Jackie Keene, Joy Keene Powell, James Keene, Preston Bennett, Patty Bennett, and Pam Griffin; great-grandchildren Bobby Bennett, Donald Thomas, Haley Keene, William Keene, Harley Keene, Jessee Keene, Jonathan Keene, Gabrielle Powell, Monet Powell, Taylor Holden, Dillon Holden, Zach Yarborough and Hannah Yarborough; great great-grandchildren Michael Bennett and Shayla Brian; two brothers, Jim Keen, Lawrence Keen, one sister Olivene Holoway, many nieces and nephews, and special friend Dovie Carriger.
A Celebration of Life service for Mr. Keen will be held Sunday, March 8, 2015, 3:00 PM at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Reverend Kenneth Kyker officiating. The family will receive friends from 2-3:00 PM prior to the service.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Kenneth Hopland for his loving and compassionate care.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fairhaven United Methodist Church, 3131 West Walnut ST, Johnson City 37604.
