Mr. George H. Johnson, age 86, Johnson City, passed away Friday, January 16, 2015 at the Appalachian Christian Village.
Mr. Johnson was born in Washington County, Virginia and son of the late Clark Eugene & Mary Catherine Settles Johnson. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Melvin Johnson, Denver Johnson and Charles Johnson.
He was a member of Boones Creek Christian Church.
Mr. Johnson was a retired farmer and worked for Jummy Onks and Ralph Croyle hauling coal.
Survivors include his brother, Henry Lee Johnson, Johnson City; sister, Irene Stills, Jonesborough; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Monday, January 19, 2015 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Minister David Clark officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30-2:00 pm Monday prior to the service. Interment will follow at Washington County Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be family & friends.
