Mr. Joseph Pavan, age 73, Johnson City, passed away Thursday, January 1, 2015 at the Johnson City Medical Center.
Mr. Pavan was born in Queens, New York and son of the late Louis & Victoria Popolizzio Pavan. He was also preceded in death by a son, Joseph Pavan and a grandson, Christopher Barnes.
He was a United States Navy Veteran.
Mr. Pavan was of the Episcopal faith.
He loved to bowling and tinkering with cars.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Mary Pavan, Johnson City; children, Victoria Barnes (John), Jimmy Pavan, Christopher Pavan, Jonathan Pavan, Ronnie Silver (Brenda), Helen Pierson (Scott) and Linda Arnold; grandchildren, William Barnes, Taylor Pierson, Brittney Pierson, Scotty Pierson, Nathaniel Jones, Kaitylynne Arnold and Atarah Yandles; great-great grandchildren; and special friends, Donald Dunbar, Rebecca Silvers and Neil Mendo.
Graveside services will be conducted 2:30 pm Monday, January 5, 2015 at Mountain Home National Cemetery with Rev. Wilkie Brookshire officiating. The family will receive friends 12:30 till 2:30 Monday at Dillow Taylor Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be friends.

I'm so sorry for Ur loss. He was a great man! I love u all! U r in my thoughts and prayers! If I can do anything, Linda has my number. I know that there are no words that can take away the pain, but I pray God gives u peace in knowing he's in a better place and that he's not suffering anymore.

Joe was more than a great friend. He was closer than a brother. He would always take time to give a friendly greeting to someone he did not no. He was a loving husband and a great father. But most of all he was and will always be in my Heart. God loves you and so do I.
