Mrs. Ernestine Aiken, Telford, passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2014, at her residence.
Mrs. Aiken was born in Washington County and daughter of the late Carl & Mary Pleasant McCracken. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Sam Aiken and a son, Jim Aiken.
She was a member of Oakland Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Aiken retired from Magnavox after 40 years of service. She enjoyed working with her family on their farm.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff & Carol Aiken, Jerry Aiken and Jack & LeAnn Aiken, all of Telford; one sister, Mavis Fellers, Johnson City; grandchildren, Janet Toler, Gate City, VA, Jim Aiken, Limestone, Justin Aiken and Jaclyn Aiken, both of Telford; two great-grandchildren, Jacob Williams and Wyatt Aiken; and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to her special caregiver and friend, Denise Matthews.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 pm Friday, January 2, 2015 at the Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Oakland Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Pastor Sam Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Chad Barr, Guy Matthews, Justin Aiken, Jim Aiken, Jimmy Guinn and Mark Brown.
