Mrs. Ida Lee Autry Kelly Ellis, age 96, Elizabethton, passed away Saturday, November 15, 2014 at the Life Care Center of Elizabethton.
Mrs. Ellis was born in Yancey County, NC and daughter of the late Fred & Minnie Arrowood Autrey. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ellis was also preceded in death by her first husband, J.V. Kelly and her second husband, W.R. Ellis, daughter, Judith Smith, sisters, Francis Edwards, Sue Busby, Loretta Proffitt, Peggy Hardin and Betty Jo Autry and one brother, E.B. Autry.
She was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Elizabethton.
Mrs. Ellis was a homemaker. She enjoyed her flower gardens.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, David & Connie Kelly, Hastings, Nebraska; grandchildren, Kim Elniff (Chris), Becky Lyons, Joy Hughes (John), and James Kelly; several great-grandchildren; sister, Polly Leonard; and several nephews and nieces.
The family would like to thank the staff of Life Care of Elizabethton for their wonderful care.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Friday, November 21, 2014 at the Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Rusty Wishon officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 am Friday prior to the service. Interment services will follow at Roselawn Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be family & friends.
