Mr. James W. “Bill” Feathers, age 79, Jonesborough, passed away Sunday, November 16, 2014 at the Johnson City Medical Center.
Mr. Feathers was born in Johnson City and son of the late James Beauford & Dorothy Mae Pickle Feathers. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Lyle Feathers and Gary Feathers.
He was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Feathers was a United States Navy Veteran. He retired from Eastman Chemical Company.
Survivors include his wife, Gloria McCormack Feathers, Jonesborough; son and daughter-in-law, James Feathers, Jr & Kathleen; daughters, Rhonda Broyles, Kelly Feathers Hartigan and Melissa Hughes; grandchildren, Shannon France, Alex Broyles, Rachel Broyles Taylor (Hunter), Jordan Hughes (Tequia Carpenter), Noah Hughes (Megan), and James “Billy” Feathers, III; great-grandchildren, Landon Hughes, Camden Hughes, Trey Carpenter, Julian Hughes and Chase Taylor; nieces, Shona Stoots, Kim Trent, Gayla Edwards and James Buford Feathers, Jr. and families.
Funeral services will be conducted 8:00 PM Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at the Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Beaver officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday prior to the service.
Interment services will be conducted 1:00 PM Thursday, November 20 2014 at Mountain Home National Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be grandchildren.
