Mr. Philip Guinn, age 67, Telford, passed away Monday, November 3, 2014 at the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center due to complications from burn injuries on August 26.
Mr. Guinn was born in Washington County and son of Evelyn Brabson Guinn Henry, Telford and the late James Arthur “Pete” Guinn.
He attended Crossroads Christian Church.
Mr. Guinn was a Untied States Marine Veteran who served in Vietnam. He was a Pipefitter/ Welder retired from Flour Daniels at Eastman Chemical Company. He had a deep, lifelong love and respect for horses and was also an avid fisherman and hunter.
In addition to his mother, survivors include: his daughter and son-in-law, Krista & Greg Orr; grandchildren, Conor Orr and Jacob Orr; his girlfriend, Theresa Symonds, brothers and sisters-in-law, James M. & Joy Guinn, David I. & Pat Guinn and Galen C. & Sandra Guinn; many work and horse riding friends and several nephews, nieces and cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 PM Thursday, November 6, 2014 at Crossroads Christian Church with Pastor Clinton Andrews and Pastor Curtis Booher officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM Thursday prior to the service.
Interment services will be conducted 3:00 PM Friday, November 7, 2014 at Grace Brethren Church Cemetery. Everyone is requested to meet at Grace Brethren Church at 2:00 PM.
Pallbearers will be, Craig Falls, Mike Ramsey, Doug Dayton, Ronnie Stout, Bob Jones and Jerry Hunter. Honorary pallbearers are Danny Keys and Philip Jones.
