Mrs. Helen Ellis, age 85, Jonesborough, passed away Monday, November 3, 2014 at her residence.
Mrs. Ellis was born in Washington County and daughter of the late George William & Glenna Margaret Oliver. She was also preceded in death by her husband, George B. Ellis, children, Edna Lewis, Georgia Davis, Gail Maupin and Gene Ellis, grandchildren, Joey Ellis, Ashley Rhudy, Ben Hughes and Terry Gardin.
She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include children, Roger Ellis (Carolyn), Gregory Allen Ellis (Sonja), Gordon Ellis (Sherry), Glenn Ellis and Phyllis Hughes; seventeen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and two on the way.
Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 PM Thursday, November 7, 2014 at the Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Crowe officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM Thursday prior to the service.
Interment services will be conducted 2:00 PM Friday, November 7, 2014 at the Monte Vista Burial Park.
Pallbearers will be Zach Ellis, Timmy Ellis, Glenn Ellis, Gregory Allen Ellis, Gordon Ellis, Roger Ellis and Bruce Miller.
