Mrs. Anita M. Haynes, age 82, Johnson City, passed away Sunday, November 2, 2014 at the Lakebridge Health Care Center.
Mrs. Haynes was born in Tupelo, Mississippi and was daughter of the late James E. Montgomery, Sr. & Sybill Faye McVay. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, James Ernest Montgomery, Jr. and C. Wayne Montgomery, and two sisters, Faye M. Kennedy and Ellen Finger.
She was known for her baking talents in supporting Angel Tree fund while working at Proffitt’s in Maryville. She retired as a cashier at Walmart in Murfreesboro, TN.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Chester C. Haynes, Johnson City; three sons, Charles Ernest Haynes, Port St. Lucie, FL, Samuel Alexander Haynes, Maryville, TN and William David Haynes and wife Sheila, Orlando, FL; brother, Joseph Lynn Montgomery, Maryville; sister, Judy M. Douglas, Maryville; sister-in-law, Ila H. Wisdom, Alamo, TX;
Graveside services will be conducted 10:30 AM Friday, November 7, 2014 at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Maryville, Tennessee with Rev. David Reece officiating.
Flowers may be delivered Friday to Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
