Mrs. Julie Harrell Peltier, age 43, Jonesborough, passed away Friday, October 3, 2014 at her residence after an inspiring three-year battle with kidney cancer.

Mrs. Peltier was born in Elizabethton and was the daughter of the late Billy Dan & Betty Jean Oaks Harrell. She was also preceded in death by several aunts and uncles.

She was a member of Grace Fellowship Church and was past owner of “Into the Fire” Pottery Studio. She was an avid runner and enjoyed Watauga Lake and the outdoors, especially snow skiing and hiking.

Survivors include her husband, Scott Peltier, of the home; daughter Reagan Paige Peltier of the home; step-daughter Lacey Brown and her husband Tony, their children Kendal and Alex, Bloomington, IN; special Aunt, Johnnie Pinckard, Johnson City; special friends, Kelli Livingston Jodway, Brentwood, TN; Kris Lucchesi, Sara O’Daniel and Margaret Fugate, all of Johnson City.

Graveside services will be conducted 1:00 PM Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at Happy Valley Memorial Park with Pastor Tom Oyler officiating. The family request friends meet at the Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home at 12 Noon Tuesday prior to the service. Pallbearers will be Frank Anderson, Grant Taylor, Curt Barnes, Mike Lillie, Johnny Blankenship and Shane Hardin.

A memorial and gathering of friends will he held Tuesday, October 14 at Grace Fellowship Church. Friends may pay their respects from 6:00 to 7:30 PM. A short memorial service will follow, officiated by Pastor Tom Oyler.
