Mrs. Helen Ruth “Margie” Rush, age 84, Jonesborough, passed away Thursday, September 18, 2014 at the Johnson City Medical Center.
Mrs. Rush was born October 23, 1929, the year of our Lord, in Washington County, TN. She was a daughter of the late Jim & Minnie Ford. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Howard Lewis Rush.
She was a member of Bethany Missionary Baptist Church.
Mrs. Rush had worked for Tennessee Eastman and was a homemaker. She attended the Jonesborough Senior Citizens.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon & Ronnie Yarbor and Gina & Matt Renfro, all of Jonesborough; son and daughter-in-law, Alan & Taby Rush, Jonesborough; grandchildren, Samuel Martin, Jason Martin, Josie Smalling Sparks and Kaycee Rush; great-grandsons, Malachi Smalling and Samuel Range; and special companion, “Kaybee”.
Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 PM Saturday, September 20, 2014 at the Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Keasley officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM Saturday prior to the service.
Interment services will be conducted 2:00 PM Sunday, September 21, 2014 at the Tri-City Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Samuel Martin, Jason Martin, Cody Daniels, Brad Edens, Cody Hite and Josh Bussell.
