Mr. Johnny Ray Norton, age 59, Limestone, passed away Monday, September 15, 2014 at the Laughlin Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Norton was born in Greene County and son of Police Norton and step-mother, Sarah Norton, Jonesborough and the late Lillian Hensley Norton. He was also preceded in death by three sisters, nephew, Kenneth Woodby.
He was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his father and step-mother, survivors include his wife, Joyce Dickerson Norton, Limestone; sons, Johnny Norton, Todd Norton (Barbara Constandine), Travis Tipton (Harley) Nickolas Tipton; grandchildren, Bryson Norton, Braydin Norton, Lane Tipton, Ty Tipton, Raelyn Tipton and Patience Matthews; two aunts, Betty Gorrell and Ruth Ann Blevins; mother-in-law, Fern Green; special friends, Mike Lamons, Ronnie “Red” Shelton, Wanda Norton, Bob & Sheila Richardson and Ken and Clara Bierma and several nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be conducted 4:00 PM Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at the Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Benny Hensley officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 PM Wednesday prior to the service.
