Mr. Robert G. Greene, age 71, Telford, passed away Friday, August 22, 2014 at the Johnson City Medical Center.
Mr. Greene was born in Greene County and son of the late Samuel & Dorothy Lane Greene. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Richardson Greene and one sister, Sally Greene.
He was of the Baptist faith. He played and loved Bluegrass Music.
Mr. Greene retired from the Washington County Highway Department.
Survivors include three daughters, Angela Foster, Annette Carter, both of Limestone and Regina Tittle and husband, Donald, Erwin; son, Jeff Greene, Jonesborough; nine grandchildren, Timmy Williams, Leslie Ford, Johnny Carter (Monica), Wayne Carter, Allen Carter, Josh Greene, Matthew Tittle, Angel Greene and Andrea Fullbright; two sisters, Shirley Greene and Mildred Jennings; three brothers, Larry Greene, Ralph Greene and Sidney Greene; and several nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be conducted 8:00 PM Monday, August 25, 2014 at the Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Byrd and Rev. Otis Banks officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Monday prior to the service and other times at the home.
Interment services will be conducted 10:00 AM Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at the Bumpass Cove Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be friends and family.
