Mrs. Gladys Surcey Hammock, age 78, Johnson City, passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at the NHC Healthcare of Johnson City.
Mrs. Hammock was born in Washington County and daughter of the late James Surcey & Mary Surcey Thompson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Hammock, two daughters and one son.
She was of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Hammock was a Homemaker.
Survivors include two sons, James Gregg, Fayetteville, NC and John Gregg, Telford; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM Thursday, August 21, 2014 at the Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 AM Friday, August 22, 2014 at Washington County Memory Gardens with Minister Doug Theobald officiating. Family request friends meet at the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be friends and family.
