Mr. W.A. Jones, Jr., age 92, Johnson City, passed away Monday, August 11, 2014 at the Lakebridge Healthcare Center.
Mr. Jones was born in Cleveland, TN and son of the late W.A. & Grace McNeeley Jones. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Roxie Key Jones and three brothers.
He was a member of the Johnson City Church of God, where he was a Sunday School Teacher, Choir Director, Clerk and Janitor.
Mr. Jones was a United States WWII Navy Veteran.
He retired from Klopman Mills Industries.
Survivors include his daughter, Jodie Roberts, Johnson City; grandchildren, Sharon Malone (Freddie) and Kim Livingston; four great-grandchildren, Andrew Malone, Anna Beth Malone, Tyler Livingston and Tanner Livingston; and several nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 PM Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at the Johnson City Church of God with Pastor Bryant Collins and Brother Fred Malone officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 5:00-7:00 PM Wednesday prior to the service.
Interment services will be conducted 10:00 AM Thursday, August 14, 2014 at Roselawn Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Andrew Malone, Tyler Livingston, Tanner Livingston, Fred Malone, Carl Daniels, Doug Daniels, Gene Daniels, Michael Adkison, Steve Guinn, Courtney Barron, Gary Moore, and Freddie Malone.
