Ms. Janis Torbett, 63, Jonesborough, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, July 26, 2014 at her residence after a long battle with cancer.
Janis was a native of Washington County, the daughter of the late Geter and Pauline Gaussion Green.
She had been an employee of the Johnson City Medical Center Hospital for many years.
She was a member of Lighthouse Missionary Baptist Church. She loved the Lord and her church family very much.
Survivors include two sons, Brooks Torbett and fiancé Christy Starnes, Piney Flats, Matthew Torbett, Jonesborough, one sister Penny Smith, Johnson City, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday August 1, 2014 at 7:00 PM at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Jonesborough, with Pastor Perry Cleek officiating. The family invites you to join them as they have this celebration of life service.
