Mr. Roy Reece Edwards, Sr., Limestone passed away Saturday, July 26, 2014 at his residence with his family by his side.
Mr. Edwards was a native of Elizabethton, TN and the son of the late Willard Oscar and Mary Ethel Tilson Edwards.
He worked in construction as a Brick Mason.
He was a United States Navy Veteran having served in Korea.
Mr. Edwards was a member of Midway Baptist church.
Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Tilson Edwards; four sons, Roy Reece Edwards Jr. (Clara), Dwight Alton Edwards (Eula Mae), Dwane Allen Edwards, and Nathan Willard Edwards, all of Limestone; two daughters, Donna Denise Edwards of the home, and Trina Chadley (Ken) Limestone; nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, one brother Bobby Lee Edwards (Sarah) Jonesborough; two sisters, Geraldine Floyd Piney Flats and Georgie Lowe, Jonesborough; and several nieces nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted 8:00 PM Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at the Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Reese officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday prior to the service.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at Limestone Freewill Baptist Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be friends and family.
