Partick Morrow Cobble
07/18/2014
Patrick Morrow Cobble, age 33, Jonesborough, succumbed to the forces of time and gravity on Friday, July 18, 2014 at his residence.
Patrick was born in Johnson City, the son of Nancy Jean Hedberg and Earl Michael Cobble.
He was proceeded in death by his grandparents, Earl and Edith (Bo) Cobble and Helen Hedberg.
Survivors include his parents, two brothers, Andy and Rion Cobble, grandfather, Floyd Hedberg, a large extended network of aunts, uncles, cousins, and many many friends across the country, the majority living on the East Coast.
Patrick was an artist at heart and a line cook by trade. He could often be found dazzling taste buds at any of the establishments fortunate enough to employ him. Though still young, Patrick possessed an old and sensitive soul and had an extraordinary gift of touching the hearts of all who knew him. Those fortunate enough to hear him sing or read his poetry will never forget his unique voice. Though baptized in the Episcopal Church, Patrick’s faith was universal and open to growth and stemmed primarily from the teachings of Buddhism, Taoism, and a sprinkle of Hinduism, because, why not?
A memorial service will be held at the Jonesborough Presbyterian Church on Friday, July 25, 2014, at 7 PM. Receiving of friends and family will begin at 5:30 PM and continue until the service time.
In lieu of flower or gifts, the family request that donations be made to The Drifting Theater Company, an organization Patrick was involved with at the time of his passing. Donations will be accepted at the service or can be mailed to the attention of Alaska Reece Vance, 2149 Siam RD, Elizabethton, TN 37643. Please make checks payable to The Drifting Theater.
