Mr. John D. Kauffman, Sr. age 80, Jonesborough, passed away Thursday, July 17, 2014 at the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center.
Mr. Kauffman was born in Millersville, PA and son of the late John Frank & Marie Althouse Kauffman. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Ben Kauffman.
He was a retired United States Army Veteran. He enjoyed fishing and traveling.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Evans Kauffman, Jonesborough; children, Patricia Lane (Bill) Jonesborough, John David Kauffman, Jr. (Rebecca) Crestview, FL and Robert Glenn Kauffman (Lisa) Cocoa, FL; grandchildren, Pamela Jones, Priscilla Lane, Johnna Kauffman, Mandy Sweigart and Bradly Kauffman; great-grandchild, Oliver Jones; and one brother, Charles Kauffman, Harlingen, TX.
Funeral services will be conducted 4:00 PM Sunday, July 20, 2014 at the Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Dr. Lester Morelock and Pastor Parker Street officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 PM Sunday prior to the service.
Interment services will be conducted 10:00 AM Monday, July 21, 2014 at the Mountain Home National Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Jones, Bradley Kauffman, Scott Sweigart and Jordan Kimery.
