Mrs. Pauline Smith, age 95, Jonesborough, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2014 at her residence.
Mrs. Smith was born in Washington County and daughter of the late Sank & Ethel Barnes Tipton. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Samuel Smith, two daughters, Brenda Joyce Cook and Gladys Smith, one grandson, Timothy Bales, two sisters, Della Wilson and Mabel Smith and a daughter-in-law, Cindy DeLoach.
She was a member of Cherokee Community Independent Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include children, Danny Smith and special companion, Charlene Deyton, Peggy Wilson and husband Charles, all of Jonesborough, David Smith, Chuckey, Charles E. Smith, Jonesborough and Jimmy Smith and wife, Sue, Johnson City; brother, Bobby Tipton, Jonesborough; one sister, Kathleen Phillips, Johnson City; best friends, Edna Phillips and Georgia Huskins; former son-in-law Floyd Bells, former daughter-in-law, Mary Smith; fifteen grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and many nephews and nieces.
The family would like to send a special thank you to Amedysis Hospice and Dawn Story for their wonderful care.
Funeral services will be conducted 4:00 PM Monday, June 23, 2014 at the Cherokee Community Independent Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Ed Davis and Pastor David Montgomery officiating. Interment will follow at Bethesda Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be family.
