Mrs. Opal Unger Nelson, 75, Telford, passed away Friday, June 13, 2014 at the Johnson City Medical Center Hospital.
Mrs. Nelson was born in Avery County, NC and daughter of the late Ernest & Myrtle Fields Davis.
She was a member of Telford Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Terry Nelson, Telford; four sons, Mark Richards (Ann), Lester Richards (Karen), Chip Richards, all of Greeneville and Timothy Richards (Dee), Atlanta; step sons, Thomas Briggs (Ashley) and Kevin Nelson (Candace), all of Telford; sister, Frances Hamm, Johnson City; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces.
Memorial services will be conducted 7:30 PM Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at Telford Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Powers officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 6:00-7:30 PM Tuesday prior to the service.
