Mrs. Barbara Ann “Maw” Casey, age 78, Jonesborough, we lost our loving sister, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother on Saturday May 31, 2014 after a short illness.
Mrs. Casey was a native of Washington County and the daughter of the late Clyde and Monte Hensley Nelson. She was also preceded in death by two brothers Tommy and Howard Nelson.
Mrs. Casey was a homemaker and lifelong farmer.
Survivors include three sons, Paul Casey, Lynn Casey and wife Kara, and Ronnie Casey; one daughter Connie Casey Purcott and husband Bob; three granddaughters, four grandsons, five great granddaughters, and several great great grandchildren; two brothers Benjamin “Wayne” Nelson, and Cecil Nelson.
Funeral services for Mrs. Casey will be Tuesday, June 3, 2014 7:00PM at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Roy Jenkins officiating, the family will receive family and friends from 5-7:00PM prior to the service.
Gravesides services will be Wednesday June 4, 2014 2:00PM at Seviers Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robbie Bowers, Eddie Fain, Cody Casey, Cole Casey, Eric Purcott and Josh Purcott. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bill Carter, Eddie Tarlton, Richard Nelson, Dillard Richmond and Bob Purcott.

She was loved dearly I have a lot of memories I will carry with me always. She was my mother's best friend. She was like my mom I will truly miss her laugh and big smile. I love you Barbara Ann. You will always have a special place in my heart.
