Mr. Vic Shepherd, age 56, Jonesborough, passed away Saturday, May 24, 2014 at the Bristol Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Shepherd was born in Painesville, Ohio and son of the late Clarence Wray & Vera W. Crumback Shepherd.
He was a United States Army Reserve Veteran.
Mr. Shepherd served for 20 years as a Police Officer in Davie, Florida. He was a K-9 Officer, Detective, Corporal and Road Sergeant. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Police-Davie Lodge #100.
Survivors include his wife, Sheila Shepherd, of the home; daughter, Michelle Shepherd, Johnson City; son, Vic Shepherd, Jr., of the home; brother, Lloyd Shepherd; three sisters, Leone, Evelyn and Noreen; mother and father-in-law, Dewey & Diane Cox, Jonesborough; his beloved “Peanut” and “Cocoa”; and several nephews nieces, cousins and friends.
Celebration of Life service will be conducted 8:00 PM Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Dale Ferrell officiating.
Memorial donation may be made to The ALS Association Development Department 1275 K. Street NW Suite 250 Washington, DC 20005.

Very sorry to hear of Vic's passing. Vic and I were often sergeants on the same shift/day, and I enjoyed the times that we were able to dine together. Vic supervised with a huge dose of common sense.

So sorry to hear of Sgt Shepherds passing. He was a tough Sgt but I learned a lot from him. He will not be soon forgotten. My sincerest condolences to his family
