Mr. Rex Jones, age 77, Jonesborough, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2014 at the Christian Care Center of Johnson City.
Mr. Jones was born in Washington County and son of the late Carl W. & Sudie Deyton Jones. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Carl W. Jones, Jr. and a brother-in-law, John Sims.
He was of the Methodist faith.
Mr. Jones was a United States Navy Veteran. He was a charter member of the Hales Ruritan Club and created the Haunted Forest.
He retired from Quebecor Printing in Hawkins County as a Stamping Operator.
Survivors include his wife, Reba Ray Jones, Jonesborough; children, Greg Jones (Cyndi) Melbourne, FL, Melissa Ray (Gary), Alpharetta, GA and Michelle Crain (Roger), Jonesborough; grandson, Corey Crain; two step-grandchildren, Katie Crain and Curtis Crain; two sisters, Catherine Jeffers and Charlotte Sims, all of Jonesborough; aunt, Lena Jones Cibrario; and several nephews and nieces.
The family will receive friends at the home of Reba Jones from 3:00-7:00 PM Saturday, May 24, 2014.
