Ms. Mary Lou Barron, age 83, Kingsport, passed away Monday, April 7, 2014 at the Wexford House in Kingsport.
Ms. Barron was a native of South Detroit Michigan, but grew up in the Knoxville area, the daughter of the late George Dewey and Alme Bridges Burnett. She was also preceded in death by a daughter Rebecca Barron, a son, Robert Barron, sister’s Betty West and Marlon Burnett and two brothers, George and Arville Burnett.
She worked in food service for Klopman Mills for many years.
Ms. Barron was of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include two son’s Tom Barron and wife Delma, Virginia, John Courtney Barron and wife Gina, Kingsport, eight Grandchildren, Jason (Juanita) Barron, Billy (Austin Lee) Barron, Savannah Rose, Ripley Barron, Courtney Michaela Barron, Lacey Barron, Nicholas Barron, and Katrina Barron, ten great grandchildren, one sister, Angeline Hayes, one brother Daniel Burnett, Jeff Dean who was like a son and Calin Turner who was like a grandson.
Graveside services will be held for Ms. Barron on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at 3:30 pm at Telford United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Archie Baker officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00 PM Thursday at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home and at other times at 2777 Carrolwood Heights, Kingsport.
