Mrs. Minty “Bo” Cox, Jonesborough, passed away Sunday, April 6, 2014 at the Johnson City Medical Center.
Mrs. Cox was a native of Washington County and daughter of the late John & Lona Dodson Coggins. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Billy James Cox, son, Billy Ed Cox, sisters, Hazel Clark and Helen Smith, brothers, Howard Coggins, John “June” Coggins, Jr. and Tom Coggins.
She was of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Cox was a Homemaker. She loved to smile and laugh, cook for her family and garden.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda Hall (Jerry) and DeAnna Woods; grandchildren, Kimberly Leonard (George), Tiffany Putman (Andrew), Missy Cox Shelton (Jeremy) and James Robert Woods; great-grandchildren, Maylee Leonard, Addison Putman, Kayla Sue Wilcox, George “Trey” Leonard, III and Gage Shelton; step great-grandchildren, Jordan Shelton and Jalen Shelton; sister, Annie Coggins Dickerson; brothers, James “Buck” Coggins (Margaret) and Vestal Coggins (Norma Jean); brother-in-law, Jimmy Cox (Barbara); and she was very fond of her numerous nephews and nieces.
The family would like to send a special thank you to Lake Bridge Health Care Center, of Johnson City, Mary Story and Jacque Lyons of Greeneville, for their wonderful care.
Funeral services will be conducted 8:00 PM Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Greg Davis officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday prior to the service.
Interment services will be conducted 11:00 AM Thursday, April 10, 2014 at Providence Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be family & friends.
