Mr. Guy V. Bolton, age 92, of Telford, Tennessee, passed away Monday, March 31, 2014 at his residence.
Mr. Bolton was a native of Washington County and son of the late Walter and Nora Wagner Bolton. In addition to his parents, Mr. Bolton was preceded in death by his wife, Lucy A. Hughes Bolton; brother, Robert Bolton; sister-in-law, Evelyn Bolton; and special friend, Alice Whaley.
He was a member of Mt. Bethel Christian Church.
Mr. Bolton was a retired truck driver for West Hills Tractor and was also a farmer. Mr. Bolton loved gardening and the outdoors. He also enjoyed tinkering with small engines.
Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Bolton Smith Walters (Charlie) and Linda Kay Bolton Casey Love (Ricky); grandchildren, Randy Broyles, Patti Broyles, Teresa Taylor (Eddie), and Cindy Robinson (Tim); step great-grandchildren, Jessica Robinson and Josh Taylor; great-grandchildren, Brandon Broyles, Miranda Broyles and Amber Johnson; sisters, Marie Gilley and Irene France; nephew, David Bolton; nieces, Sandy Gilley and Jerry Gilley.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 PM, Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Minister Lamar Garrison officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 â€" 7:00 PM prior to the service.
Interment services will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at Mt. Bethel Christian Cemetery with Minister Lamar Garrison officiating.
Pallbearers will be Randy Broyles, Tim Robinson, Eddie Taylor and Channing Love.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Amedisys Hospice and other caregivers and Washington County/Johnson City EMS who gave loving care to Mr. Bolton.
