Mrs. Mary “Ms. Mary” Payne Hale, age 92, Jonesborough, passed away Monday, March 17, 2014 at the NHC Healthcare of Johnson City.
Mrs. Hale was a native of Washington County and daughter of the late Roy D. & Sarah Phillips Payne. She was also preceded in death by her husband, I.G. Hale.
She was a member of Cherry Grove Baptist Church.
Mrs. Hale was a homemaker and had worked at Blue Ridge Pottery.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie & Joyce Hale, Jonesborough; brother and sister-in-law, Gay & Blanch Payne; special friends, Carroll & Bonnie Fender and Shelby Head; several nephews and nieces; and many loving friends and neighbors.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Staff of NHC Healthcare of Johnson City, especially station three and Caris Home Health Care.
Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 PM Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Tommy Clark, Pastor Jeremy Dykes and Pastor Frank Proffitt officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM Wednesday prior to the service.
Interment services will be conducted 10:00 AM Thursday, March 20, 2014 at Mountain Home National Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be family & friends.
