Mr. Ray Swift, age 77, Telford, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2014 at the Johnson City Medical Center.
Mr. Swift was born in Beech Creek, NC and son of the late William Butler & Ada Warren Swift.
He was of the Christian faith.
Mr. Swift worked at Empire Furniture and Burlington Industries and retired as owner and operator of Swift’s Grocery Store after 28 years.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Lewis Swift, Telford; one brother, Clay Swift, Elizabethton; one sister, Francis Epperly, Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Staff and Caregivers of Four Oaks Nursing Home and 5200 wing of the Johnson City Medical Center for their wonderful loving care of my husband.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Monday, March 17, 2014 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at New Victory Methodist Cemetery with Rev. Garland James, Pastor Terry Cloyd and Pastor Cathy Fowler officiating.
Pallbearers will be family & friends.
