Mrs. Jessie Yates, age 94, Cookeville, formerly of Jonesborough, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2014 at the Kindred Transitional Care & Rehab-Master in Algood, TN.
Mrs. Yates was born in Jonesborough and daughter of the late William & Minnie Phipps Percell. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Stanley F. Yates in 1999, son, Stanley Yates, Jr., three brothers, Roy Percell, Donald Percell and Bernie Percell and three sisters, Mary Geraldine Tester, Dorothy Lowery and Willie Taylor.
She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
Mrs. Yates was a Homemaker.
Survivors include one daughter, Sandra Yates, Cookeville, TN; one brother, Fred Percell, Roanoke, VA; and one sister, Patsy Jackson, Jonesborough.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM Sunday, March 9, 2014 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at Monte Vista Burial Park with Pastor Michael Lusk officiating.
Pallbearers will be family & friends.
