Mr. Jack Christopher Cotrel, age 41, Kingsport, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2014 at his residence
Mr. Cotrel was born in Goldsboro, NC and son of Jack & Jane Whitlock Cotrel, Jonesborough.
He was a member of Jonesborough United Methodist Church.
Mr. Cotrel was a United States Navy Veteran having served two deployments aboard the USS Casimir Pulaski SSBN-633.
He loved camping, fishing and canoeing.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jack & Marie Cotrel.
In addition to his parents, survivors include a son, James Richard “Ricky” Cotrel Stanley, Brideport, VT; maternal grandparents, James & Ruth Whitlock, Newport, TN; one brother, Jamie Cotrel, Jonesborough; aunt & uncle, Tim & Tammy Whitlock, Jonesborough; constant companion for 5 years, Nicki Robinson, Kingsport; and special friend, Travis Williams, Johnson City.
Memorial services will be conducted 6:00 PM Thursday, March 6, 2014 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Christi Taylor officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:30-6:00 PM Thursday prior to the service. Family and friends will meet at Fairview United Methodist Church for a meal immediately following the service.
