Mrs. Wilma Chandler Hensley, age 87, Jonesborough passed away Thursday, February 13, 2014 at her daughters residence.
She was a native of Unicoi, TN and the daughter of the late Wolford and Betsy Lewis Chandler. She was also preceded in death by her husband Dana Hensley, two sons, James Hensley, William Hensley; one brother, Roscoe Chandler and one sister, Pearl Chandler.
She was a member of Cherokee Missionary Baptist Church.
She retired from Magnavox; she enjoyed quilting and she had a green thumb which was evident by all of her roses and various other flowers.
Survivors include two daughters, Betty Hensley Davenport and husband Cecil, Earline Hensley Davenport, one son, Robert Hensley; ten grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 15, 2014, from 1:00 to 3:00p.m. at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home. Graveside will follow at Cherokee Missionary Baptist Cemetery with Rev. Steve Wilson officiating.
