Mrs. Janet Evelyn Schuenemann Dowden, age 81, Jonesborough, passed away Friday, January 24, 2014 at the Four Oaks Healthcare Center.
Mrs. Dowden was born in San Antonio, Texas and daughter of the late Fred & Lucretia Teal Schuenemann. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Schuenemann.
She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
Mrs. Dowden was a Secretary at SMU Perkins School of Theology and volunteered at the Johnson City Medical Center in the ICU Department.
Survivors include: daughter and son-in-law, Beverly Thomas & Herman Jenkins, Jonesborough; son and daughter-in-law, William “Randy” & Jana Thomas, Greeneville; daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth Thomas & Dr. Steve Norman, Florence, Alabama; grandchildren, Breelyn Bomba and husband Alex, Jonesborough, Zachary Jenkins, Jonesborough, Brandon Thomas, Bristol, VA, Aaron Thomas and finance Jessica Hollar, Greeneville and Morgon Thomas, Knoxville; and great-grandchildren, Landon Thomas, Greeneville and Peyton Thomas, Greeneville.
Memorial services will be conducted 10:00 AM Monday, January 27, 2014 at Trinity Baptist Church with Dr. Mark Harrod officiating. The family will receive friends at the home of the daughter, Beverly Thomas Jenkins follow the service.
