Mrs. Ruth Jones Tomlin, age 85, Telford, passed away Monday, January 20, 2014 at her residence after a long illness.
Mrs. Tomlin was a native of Union County and daughter of the late William & Rose Coppock Jones.
She was a member of Jonesborough United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Tomlin was a Counselor at Science Hill High School, retiring in 1987.
Survivors include her husband, Samuel Tomlin, Telford; son and daughter-in-law, Chris & Kitty Tomlin; and grandsons, Drew Tomlin and Luke Tomlin.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to her long term caregivers, Bernice Rolland and her daughters Vita & Missy.
Graveside services will be conducted 3:00 PM Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at New Loyston Cemetery with Rev. Bernie Hutchison officiating.
