Mrs. Mary Lee King Thomas, age 77, Jonesborough, passed away Thursday, January 16, 2014 at the Franklin Woods Community Hospital.
Mrs. Thomas was a native of Washington County and daughter of the late Ed & Rosie May Bowman King. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Thomas was also preceded in death by a son, Baby Thomas, four brothers, Reverend John King, Grover King, Roy King and Charles King and three sisters, Lillian King, Katherine King Howell and Rosie King Hicks.
She was a Christian.
Mrs. Thomas was a cashier at Johnson City Medical Center cafeteria for 22 years and was also employed at Appalachian Christian Village.
Survivors include her husband, Roy A. Thomas, a disabled veteran; daughter, Vera Kay Thomas Davis, Gray, son, Reverend R. Allen Thomas, Jonesborough; three grandchildren, Leia F. Davis, Johnson City, Stephanie J. Thomas, Jonesborough and Cody T. Davis, Gray; one great-grandson, B. Holden Davis, Johnson City; and many nephews and nieces.
Graveside services will be conducted 9:00 AM Monday, January 20, 2014 at the Mountain Home National Cemetery with Reverend R. Allen Thomas officiating.
Pallbearers will be family & friends.
The family will receive friends at the home, 261 Charlie Hicks Rd. Jonesborough, following the services.
