Mr. Dewey “Eddie” Ryan, age 73, Jonesborough, passed away Monday, January 13, 2014 at the Wellmont Holston Valley Hospital.

Mr. Ryan was a native of Washington County and son of the late John Walter & Mary Ellen Bolton Ryan. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Billy Ryan.

He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church.

Mr. Ryan was a United States Army Veteran. He retired from ITT North Electric, Raytheon and Tidewater Transit.

Survivors include his wife, Imogene Spears Ryan, Jonesborough; son, Jamie Ryan; two daughters, Amy Ryan Dyer and Kathy Crawford and husband John; grandchildren, Sarah Taylor-Norton and husband Josh and Matthew Shane Dyer; great-grandson, Darin Norton; brother, Jesse Ryan and Junior Ryan; sister, Ethel Hawkins; special sister-in-law, Joe Ryan; and several special nephews and nieces.

Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 PM Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Keasling. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM Wednesday prior to the service.

Interment services will be conducted 2:00 pm Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jamie Ryan, Aaron Chesser, Craig Wyatt, Kenith Ryan, John Peters and John Crawford.
